Second Season Ordered of Being Erica

TORONTO: Temple Street Productions is working on 12 new episodes of Being Erica for a sophomore season of the CBC Television hit series.

Erin Karpluk returns for second two as the funny and candid Erica Strange. More is revealed in the new episodes about the mysterious Dr. Tom (Michael Riley) and his colleague Dr. Naadiah (Joanne Vannicola). Tyron Leitso also reprises his role as Erica’s boyfriend, Ethan. Returning cast members include Vinessa Antoine (Judith), Kathleen Laskey (Barbara Strange), John Boylan (Gary Strange), Reagan Pasternak (Julianne Giacomelli), Morgan Kelly (Brent) and Joanna Douglas (Samantha). Also on board for season two are the show’s creative team, led by creator and executive producer Jana Sinyor (Dark Oracle) and executive producer Aaron Martin (Degrassi: The Next Generation, The Best Years) together with executive producers David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg of Temple Street Productions (Billable Hours, Canada’s Next Top Model).

In addition to its broadcast on Canada’s CBC Television, Being Erica has been sold by BBC Worldwide to SOAPnet in the U.S., ABC2 in Australia, Paramount Comedy in Spain and SBS/Net5 in Holland.
