Scrawl Studios, Planet Nemo Align for Preschool Series

SINGAPORE,
December 11: Singaporean animation outfit Scrawl Studios is working with Planet
Nemo in France on Silly Bitty Bunny,
a 2-D series aimed at the 3-to-5 set.

The
co-production consists of 78 3.5 minute episodes, based on the book franchise Petit Lapin Blanc from Les Editions
Hachette, which has sold more than 3 million copies globally. The series
follows a young boy rabbit as he experiences a series of firsts. It is budgeted
at $200,000 per half hour, and has signed on as a co-producer Canada's
Carpediem Film & TV. The show is slated for delivery in spring 2010.

"Building
on its iconic look, we strong feel Silly
Bitty Bunny
holds the potential to build a strong merchandising program
internationally, leveraging on the existing publishing base," said
Frédéric Puech, the president of Planet Nemo Animation.

Seng
Choon Meng, the CEO of Scrawl Studios, added: "The moment we saw Silly Bitty Bunny we immediately thought
it was something special. The concept and the character connect in such an
endearing way, it is hard not to fall in love with it. We've had good
experiences adapting preschool book titles for television, so this project is
one we're very excited about."

Broadcast
deals are close to being sealed in Canada and France. Scrawl International will
handle sales to most Asian territories.
