Scholastic Media to Launch Merchandising Program for Dragon

NEW YORK, October 25: Scholastic Media is launching a
licensing and merchandising program for Dragon, the animated series based on the books by Dav Pilkey that launched on
the qubo block in the U.S. in September.

The preschool series airs on the qubo programming block on NBC, Telemundo, and ION’s i
network, following the exploits of a loveable blue dragon and his friends.
Scholastic is seeking partners in apparel and accessories, footwear, toys and
games, domestics and home furnishings, infant products, gifts and novelties,
interactive and videogames, stationery and paper goods, health and beauty aids,
food and beverage, promotions, music and home video, among others.

Dragon is an
adorable series that comes from the great mind of Dav Pilkey who has proven
himself a master creator of children’s content,” said Leslye Schaefer, the SVP
of marketing and consumer products for Scholastic Media. “The television program is already
broadcast in 20 countries worldwide, serving as a testament to its appeal, and
we think it will translate fabulously into product.”
