Sasquatch Dumpling Gang Leads MarVista’s AFM Offerings

LOS ANGELES, October 25: MarVista Entertainment is coming to
the AFM with 15 movies, headlined by The Sasquatch Dumpling Gang, the acquisition of which marks the company’s move
into theatrical features.

Screening for the first time for international buyers at the
AFM, the film, for which MarVista represents all distribution rights, outside
of the U.K., was written and directed by Tim Skousen (assistant director on Napoleon
Dynamite
), and produced by Jeremy Coon
(producer on Napoleon Dynamite).
The other producers on the film are Trigger Street Productions’ Kevin Spacey
and Dana Brunetti, Trigger Street Independent’s Mark Kassen and Adam Kassen,
and Crazy Dreams Entertainment's Randy Holleschau.

With a cameo appearance by Napoleon Dynamite’s title character Jon Heder, the cast includes
Jeremy Sumpter, Justin Long, Carl Weathers, Hubbel Palmer, Steve Tobolowsky,
Jon Gries, Joey Kern and Rob Pinkston.

The Sasquatch Dumpling Gang is our first theatrical acquisition and serves as a major milestone in
MarVista’s growth,” commented Michael D. Jacobs, the president of the company.
“This movie has a phenomenal cast, an incredibly engaging storyline, and if it
performs anything like Napoleon Dynamite, we’ll have a winner.”

Zac Reeder, MarVista’s recently appointed head of
acquisitions, added, “It’s a natural next step for MarVista. We have recently
launched our own domestic home video label, and the theatrical business is our
next target for expansion.”
