Russian Deal Inked on The Parents

MONTREAL: La Presse Télé has closed a deal with a Russian production company for a local adaptation of The Parents, which is also heading into a second season in Greece.

Yellow Black and White Group has bought the format rights to the show, which has also been adapted in Israel, Spain and Greece. In Greece, Studio ATA is working on a second season for Mega TV. 

"We always believed in the international potential of The Parents," said André Provencher, president of La Presse Télé. "Any culture can relate to the family dynamic and the humor is witty and easily adaptable. There is no doubt in our mind that The Parents family will continue on growing.”
