Rob Sorcher Elevated at Cartoon Network

ATLANTA: Rob Sorcher has been promoted to executive VP and chief content officer for Cartoon Network, while Mike Lazzo is elevated to the same role at Adult Swim.

Both executives will be taking on additional responsibilities for overseeing the digital and gaming businesses for each of their respective areas. Sorcher continues to be based in Burbank, and Lazzo in Atlanta; both report to Stuart Snyder, the president and chief operating officer of Turner Broadcasting’s animation, young adults and kids’ media division. Sorcher and Lazzo will continue their responsibilities for the development and production of original and acquired content as well.

“In order to build on our continued success it is imperative that we have a structure in place that will allow us to think and execute more strategically and also set us up for growth and new business opportunities,” said Snyder. “By bringing together all content on one team for each network, we will improve communication and promote idea sharing even more and align strategic initiatives.
