Rigel Entertainment Closes New AFM Deals for Thriller

LOS ANGELES, November 2: Rigel Entertainment has finalized
two new deals at the AFM with Germany’s Constantin Films and Gulf Films in the
Middle East for the psychological thriller Stuck.

Constantin Films has acquired all the German-language rights
for Stuck, while Gulf Films has acquired all the distribution
rights to the movie for the Middle East.

Stuck, distributed
internationally by Rigel Entertainment, makes its AFM debut following its world
premiere in September at the Toronto International Film Festival’s Midnight
Madness
and subsequent screenings in
October at the Chicago Film Festival in the Late Night Screamings and at SITGES Fantastik.

Directed by Stuart Gordon and inspired by true events, Stuck
features Mena Suvari as Brandi Boski, who, after partying at a night club,
hits a homeless man named Tom head-on, and decides to let the severely injured
victim die in her garage. Tom is played by Academy Award-nominee Stephen Rea.

“We’ve had tremendous media response to Stuck following its screening in Toronto and a steady buzz
has been building for the movie,” commented John F. S. Laing, the CEO of Rigel
Entertainment. “We are delighted that Constantin Films will be our partner in
Germany—they have a strong track record releasing films of this
genre—and we are equally thrilled to have signed with Gulf Film for the
Middle East territory.”

Laing serves as an executive producer alongside Sam Grana,
Tim McGrath, Andrew Arno and Christian Arnold-Beutel. Stuck is the first movie to be produced by the recently
reformed Amicus Entertainment under the direction of its president and CEO,
Robert Katz (Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, Selena, Gettysburg), together with Jay Firestone (former chairman of
Fireworks Entertainment) and Ken Gord (Highlander: the Series) of newly formed Prodigy Pictures.
