Revenues Up 8.5 Percent at ProSiebenSat.1

MUNICH, August 2:
ProSiebenSat.1 Group has reported second quarter revenues of 550.9 million
euros, an 8.5-percent gain on a year ago, with profits up 16.3 percent to 83.4
million euros.

“The ProSiebenSat.1 Group
had a successful second quarter, despite the World Cup,” said Guillaume de
Posch, the company’s CEO. “We have continued our growth. If the first positive
impulses for the second half of 2006 persist, the growth of the German TV
advertising market might amount to slightly more than 2 percent. However, we
will only know for sure in the autumn.”

In the free-TV segment,
revenues were up 6.5 percent to 510.5 million euros thanks to ad gains, and
second-quarter operating profits grew 20.9 percent to 132.8 million euros. At
Sat.1, revenues were up 10.8 percent to 231.1 million euros, while ProSieben’s
stayed at 192 million euros. At kabel eins, revenues rose 19.6 percent to 66.6
million euros, while N24 delivered a 12.5 percent revenue gain to 22.5 million
euros.
