Regent Adds New Docudrama to Catalogue

LOS ANGELES: Regent Releasing and Here Media have taken on the North American distribution rights for the docudrama Eichmann, based on the final confession of Adolf Eichmann, known as an architect of Hitler’s "final solution" during World War II.

The film, from British production outfit Entertainment Motion Pictures (E-Motion), will be distributed in select cities from October. It follows as Eichmann tells events from his past to a young Israeli police officer, who is faced with the task of tricking him into self-incrimination. The two men must confront each other in a battle of wills, and the result of which will change a nation forever.

“We are thrilled to bring Eichmann to U.S. audiences this fall,” said Mark Reinhart, the general manager and executive VP of distribution and acquisitions for Regent/Here Media. “Eichmann represents the kind of powerful and thought-provoking English-language world cinema that Regent/Here will be focused on distributing alongside our award-winning foreign-language titles.”

“We are delighted that Eichmann is being released in the U.S. by Regent,” added Peter Bevan of E-Motion. “Regent’s expertise in world cinema gives this film the perfect platform and we are very pleased that American audiences will have the chance to view this historically important feature.”
