Reed Exhibitions: Deals Closed at ATF Up 68 Percent

SINGAPORE: Distributors closed a total of $149.23 million in deals at the Asia TV Forum last week, according to Reed Exhibitions, a 68-percent rise over the previous year.

The three-day event in Singapore attracted a total of 2,862 attendees, a record for the 11-year-old event, with 850 companies participating from more than 53 countries. The number of overall participating companies grew by 15 percent. “It is heartening and very encouraging to see more and more companies joining our market,” said Michelle Lim, managing director of Reed Exhibitions for Singapore and Malaysia. “This year, we saw record numbers of 187 new sellers and 156 new buyers, a sign that ATF is garnering more attention, and is gaining importance and strength in the industry.”

The 12th edition of the Asia TV Forum is slated for November 30 to December 2, 2011.
