Rede Telecine Scores Brazilian Pay-TV Rights for Disney Movies

SÃO PAULO: Disney Media Networks Latin America has granted Rede Telecine the exclusive pay-TV broadcast rights in Brazil for a range of films from Walt Disney Pictures, DreamWorks, Marvel and Pixar, among others.

The deal kicks off in October, bringing a range of films, including Cars 2, Tangled, Tron: Legacy and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides to Rede Telecine’s movie slot, Superestreia. The agreement also covers films such as Finding Nemo, Pearl Harbor, Unbreakable and The Proposal.

“What was already good is now even better,” said João Mesquita, the network’s general director. Disney movies will provide Telecine with the most fun, vibrant and modern family entertainment available.”
