Record Scores Pan American Games 2011

SÃO PAULO, August 15: Record TV Network has picked up the exclusive rights in Brazil to the next Pan American Games, taking place in Guadalajara, Mexico, in October 2011.

Record clinched the deal with the Committee Organizer of the Pan American Games (COPAG). Dr. Alfonso Petersen Farah, COPAG’s president, noted: "It is a honor to have a partner as Record TV Network for the transmission of the XVI Pan American Games of Guadalajara 2011, in Brazil, considering that it is an agreement of unprecedented dimensions in the history of the Pan American Games.”

The Pan American Games, set for October 14 to 30, join Record’s deals for the upcoming Olympic Games: Vancouver 2010 and London 2012.

The last edition of the regional sporting event was held in Rio last year and featured 5,558 athletes from 42 countries.
