RCTV Targets Asia with Limited-Run Novelas

MIAMI: RCTV International is creating 40-episode versions of two of its most successful novelas, My Cousin Ciela and Lovers, to meet the needs of Asian broadcasters seeking limited-run content and family friendly programming.

The shorter My Cousin Ciela will be readily available this October. The original version of the show, starring Mónica Spear & Manuel Sosa, has been sold into the U.S., El Salvador, Ecuador, Macedonia, Honduras, Latvia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Spain and Panama, among others. Lovers, with the limited version set for a June delivery, stars Chantal Badaux and Juan Carlos Alarcón. The period piece has clinched slots in Chile, Ecuador, the U.S., Peru, Bulgaria, Honduras, Croatia, Macedonia, Lebanon and Spain.
