LORETO: Rainbow has notched up a new roster of broadcast partners for its series PopPixie, which it will be presenting at MIPTV next week, in France, Portugal and Greece.

Following sales to RAI in Italy, France Television, KTV in South Africa and Noga in Israel at MIPCOM, Rainbow has now signed up France’s Télétoon, Portugal’s TVI and Canal Panda and Greece’s Alter TV. At the market next week, the Italian animation company will be showcasing a brand-new episode for first-time screening by buyers. The 52×13-minute production is set in a fantastical dimension called Pixieville, where gnomes, pixies and magical animals contend with a clan of Elves, naughty little creatures always prepared to play a joke or stir up trouble. The Pixie characters first appeared in Rainbow’s Winx Club.

Rainbow is already building a licensing and merchandising campaign for the brand, with Bandai as master toy for Europe; Leomil for footwear in Europe and apparel for Iberia and Scandinavia; Carel for apparel in France and Mirtillo for apparel in Italy.
