Publicis COO Tapped for MIPCOM Advertising Keynote

PARIS: Richard Pinder, the COO for Publicis Worldwide, will deliver the advertising keynote speech at MIPCOM on October 5.

His speech, “Contagious Ideas that Change the Conversation,” will look at how content providers and advertising agencies need to work closer together to build business. The keynote will be a highlight of the MIPCOM conference program "Rethinking your Business."

Pinder has had sole leadership of the Publicis global network since May. He was appointed COO of Publicis Worldwide in October 2006, and is a member of Publicis Groupe’s P12 management board.

"For the last 15 years I have not needed to know anyone in television nor them me, but in this brave new world, content providers need advertising agencies just as much as agencies need content providers,” said Pinder. “Content providers’ expertise is centred on their own products and properties. Advertising agencies are aggregators and overviewers and need people to create ideas without having to worry about how to produce them. It is time for us to get to know each other and change the conversation between us, just as we must for our clients’ brands!”
