ProSiebenSat.1 Group Acquires Female-Targeted Web Portal

MUNICH, June 5: The
ProSiebenSat.1 Group has expanded its online portfolio with the acquisition of
100 percent of Feeem Media, which operates the female-targeted content portal
Fem.com.

Dr. Marcus Englert, a
member of the executive board of ProSiebenSat.1 for new media, said the
acquisition would enable the company to “fill a critical gap” in its Internet
portfolio, which currently has 2.8 billion unique users.

Fem.com bundles some 20
medium-sized websites targeted to women, covering beauty, fashion, lifestyle,
celebrities, music and relationships. ProSiebenSat.1 aims to turn Fem.com into
“one of Europe’s leading women’s content networks and to repeat the success of
the example set by Glam.com in the U.S.,” Englert said. The portal is set to
expand to other European markets by the end of the year.

Financial terms of the
acquisition were not disclosed.
