Promotions at CBS Consumer Products

NEW YORK: Veronica Hart has been promoted to VP of licensing at CBS Consumer Products, while John Van Citters has been upped to VP of product development.

Hart is responsible for managing an expanded portfolio of licensing categories, including toys and gifts, video games, slot machines, live events, exhibits, attractions and food and beverage. She handles these areas across an array of properties that includes Star Trek, CSI, NCIS, 90210 and classic shows like Twilight Zone, Brady Bunch and Cheers. Hart was previously director of licensing, and is based in New York.

Van Citters is responsible for all product development and approval for the Star Trek franchise. He is also the key liaison to the Star Trek community of partners, talent and fans. Van Citters was previously director of product development, and is based on Los Angeles. Before joining CBS in 2006, Van Citters spent eight years in product development for Paramount Pictures, Spelling Entertainment and Nickelodeon.

"In just a short time, Veronica has built substantial businesses in new categories for the division and has become a leader in strategic thinking for a diverse portfolio of properties," said Liz Kalodner, the executive VP and general manager of CBS Consumer Products. "John has done a remarkable job leading product development for the new Star Trek movie, while at the same time maximizing the potential of the classic franchise. These are two well-deserved promotions."
