PromaxBDA President Takes On Expanded Role

LOS ANGELES: Jonathan Block-Verk, the president of PromaxBDA, takes on further responsibilities as CEO.

Under Block-Verk’s leadership, PromaxBDA launched a quarterly print publication, brief and daily email newsletter, Daily Brief. The PromaxBDA website is also being completely renovated and redesigned and will launch later this year.

"Since signing on as President in 2007, Jonathan has worked tirelessly to conceive and implement a whole slate of year-round membership initiatives, making PromaxBDA more relevant to the industry and valuable to its membership than ever before," said Michael Benson, the chairman of the board of directors of PromaxBD. "Though Jonathan’s contract was not up for renewal until next December, the board of directors thought that the financial and creative success of PromaxBDA during Jonathan’s tenure thus far merited a definitive show of our confidence in his vision and leadership."

"The coming year is going to be full of exciting change and progress for PromaxBDA, and I am honored to be at the helm of the organization during this critical time," added Block-Verk. "We are evolving with our industry, undertaking a top-to-bottom overhaul of a strategy which will position us to lead the international conversation about the roles marketing, promotion and design play in the monetization of media and success in the entertainment business."
