Disney XD,
debuting in February 2009, is a new multimedia brand that will include a mix of
live-action and animated programming for kids aged 6 to 14, skewed toward boys.
Disney XD-branded content will span television, online, mobile and VOD
platforms. The programming includes series, movies and short-form projects, as
well as sports-themed programming developed with ESPN.

In the U.S., Disney XD
will premiere on a 24-hour network (currently known
as Toon Disney) that reaches nearly 70 million households via its basic cable
affiliates. The launch date of Disney XD in Latin America and Japan is
being finalized and negotiations between Disney and Jetix Europe to license the
Disney XD brand in Europe have already begun.
