Gary Marenzi Joins MGM

LOS ANGELES, May 14: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios has
appointed Gary Marenzi as co-president of worldwide television, sharing
responsibility of the division with Jim Packer.

Marenzi will focus his efforts on the international
marketplace, while Packer will focus on television distribution, channels and
digital media for North America, working closely with Douglas A. Lee, MGM’s
executive VP of worldwide digital media. Marenzi and Packer will both report to
Rick Sands, MGM’s COO.

Since June 2006, Marenzi has held the role of president of
Ensequence, where he spearheaded efforts to develop interactive television
programming applications worldwide. During the same time he was president of
Marenzi & Associates, which he founded in 2004 to provide strategic
management advice and implementation for the media and entertainment industry.
Prior to founding his own firm, Marenzi was president of international
television for Paramount Pictures for seven years. Between 1992 and 1997, he
was president of the MGM Telecommunications Group, where he was responsible for
all of MGM's international television and worldwide pay television business
activities. Before MGM, Marenzi was the president of the UIP Pay TV Group.

Packer, who joined MGM in 2001, initially served as
executive VP of domestic TV. He was promoted to executive VP of worldwide
television distribution in April 2005, and then to president of worldwide
television in September 2006.

Marenzi and Packer will be based at the studio’s
headquarters in Century City, California.
