Production Under Way on Disney's Kid Knievel

BURBANK, December 22: The
new 2-D animated comedy series Kid Knievel, about a 12-year-old boy who aspires to become the world's greatest
daredevil, is slated to premiere in fall 2009 on Disney XD, the upcoming kids'
entertainment channel currently known as Toon Disney.

DisneyXD.com will present
five 55-second original animated shorts in advance of the series' television
premiere. The shorts will air thereafter on Disney XD. The series was created
by Sandro Corsaro. Animation producer Chris Savino (Johnny Test, Power Puff Girls) is the executive producer and director. Famed
daredevil "Kaptain" Robbie Knievel will serve as a stunt consultant
on the series.

Kid Knievel is
the story of a boy—short in stature but big in heart—who overcomes
incredible obstacles in his quest to become the world's greatest and most
extreme daredevil. It features the voice talent of Chris Edgerly (Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law) as the thrill-seeking Kid Knievel, Matt Jones (Greek) as his quirky best friend, Gunther, and Danny Cooksey (Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Xiaolin Showdown,
Pepper Ann) as
Kid's obnoxious older brother, Brad.

"As our first
animated show for the new Disney XD platform, Kid Knievel sets the tone for the animated series to
come," said Eric Coleman, the senior VP of original series for Walt Disney
Television Animation. "It has break-out characters, fresh designs, big
laughs and great action."

Disney XD, debuting in
February 2009, is a new multimedia brand that will include a mix of live-action
and animated programming for kids aged 6 to 14, skewed toward boys. Disney
XD-branded content will span television, online, mobile and VOD platforms.
