Production Begins on New Poliakoff Films for HBO, BBC

LOS ANGELES, November 9: Filming is underway in London on
two new dramas from Stephen Poliakoff, whose credits include The Lost Prince, for HBO Films and the BBC.

Michael Gambon (Path to War, Gosford Park) and
Maggie Smith (My House in Umbria,
Gosford Park) star in two
separate films set against the backdrop of the same dark and moody house. Poliakoff
2006 explores the relationship between
Elliot (Michael Gambon), a strange and wealthy Londoner, and Joe (Danny Lee
Wynter), the teenage son of a cleaner who takes care of the grand, empty house
Elliot owns. Capturing Mary, the
companion film set in the same house, is told in the form of a flashback of an
older woman (Maggie Smith), looking back on her life as a young girl and her
encounter with a charming, mysterious stranger (David Walliams) who affects her
life forever.
