Power Highlights Broad Slate at Screenings

LONDON, May 12: Power will
arrive at the L.A. Screenings with a lineup of original drama series and
mini-series, headlined by Crusoe,
a new 13×1-hour prime-time adaptation of Daniel Defoe’s classic novel for NBC.

Crusoe will be co-produced by Power, Muse and
Moonlighting, and is slated to go into production on May 19. Philip Winchester
(Flyboys, Thunderbirds) and Anna Walton (The Mutant Chronicles, Hell Boy II: The Golden Army) play the lead roles in Crusoe, which is directed by Duane Clark (XIII: The
Conspiracy
, CSI: NY).

Three new mini-series are
also part of Power’s slate for the market: the action thriller XIII: The
Conspiracy
, which will have its
U.S. premiere on NBC this fall; the political-themed The Summit; and Pinocchio, a remake of the classic family film starring the
legendary Bob Hoskins in the role of Gepetto.

Power will also offer up You
Belong To Me
, the latest title in
its stable of female-fronted TV movies known as Power Thrillers. Starring
Shannon Elizabeth (American Pie,
That 70’s Show), the movie is
centered on the story of a woman desperate to break free from a man’s obsessive
love. From the RHI Entertainment catalogue, Power presents Tin Man, a modern twisted update of the classic novel The
Wizard of Oz
, and The Last Templar, which is based upon Raymond Khoury’s international bestseller.

“We’re delighted to
present our clients with a top quality U.S. network series that will be filled
with action and adventure for the entire family,” said Pepe Echegaray, Power’s
VP of sales and distribution in Latin America.
