Portfolio Lands Raft of Kids’ Sales

TORONTO: Portfolio Entertainment has racked up more than 200 episodes in combined sales in a variety of territories in Europe, Africa and Asia for a number of its children’s series.

Four international broadcasters signed up for Carl2, with 65 half-hour episodes going to Italy’s DeA Kids. Canal+Cyfrowy/Zip Zap in Poland and KTV in South Africa renewed Carl2 for a fourth season. Meanwhile, RTBF picked up the first two seasons for French-speaking Belgium. 

National Geographic International went for 26 half-hour episodes of the astronomy-based series Heads Up! for broadcast in Turkey, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The series Igloo-Goo was sold into Asia, with JimJam picking up 26 15-minute episodes. All 26 half hours of Toad Patrol went to Minimax for Romania and Ex-Yugoslavia feeds.
