Portfolio Hires New Sales & Acquisitions Exec

TORONTO: Portfolio Entertainment has hired Louis Fournier as its new VP of sales and acquisitions, a newly created role.

Fournier will set the multiplatform sales direction for the distribution arm Portfolio International, along with expanding the company’s acquired international distribution rights in the factual and lifestyle genres. He will work alongside Portfolio’s co-founders and co-CEOs, Joy Rosen and Lisa Olfman. Fournier was most recently the VP of business development at Tribal Nova, prior to becoming a media consultant. From 2005 to 2008, he was the president of Galakids, a division of Galafilm.

Rosen commented: “Louis Fournier is one of the most experienced and respected distribution professionals in the industry, with a proven track record for success. He is a key addition to our management team as Portfolio expands into new areas of growth in both the children’s and factual space.”
