MONTEREY: SNL Kagan data indicates that the U.S. ad market is recovering, with revenues expected to rebound by 2.8 percent to $210.5 billion this year.

This year’s gains will follow two consecutive years of ad revenue declines in the U.S. Mobile, broadcast TV stations and the Internet will lead this year’s gains. Cable TV will also remain strong, growing to $30.2 billion in 2011 and $55.1 billion in 2019.

“New media, such as mobile and internet advertising, continue to boom, while old media, particularly print, is increasingly losing its relevance," said SNL Kagan senior analyst Derek Baine. "Dollars are shifting into new platforms and those drawing the most eyeballs, such as cable TV.”
