PorchLight to Present Diverse MIPTV Slate

LOS ANGELES, March 28:
PorchLight Entertainment is primed to offer international buyers a range of new
programming at MIPTV, ranging from the top-rated Hallmark Channel movie The
Note
to live-action and animated
films and television series.

The Note stars Genie Francis as a reporter who, after a
plane crash, finds a note believed to be written by one of the passengers and
attempts to deliver it to the intended receiver. Her journey becomes a
difficult but ultimately uplifting look at her own life. Other offerings
include 40 half-hour episodes of A.J.’s Time Travelers, featuring a 15-year-old named A.J. Malloy who
reaches into his fantasy world of time travel by entering his time machine. The
series was acquired from Valencia Entertainment International. The animated
14×30-minute series The Princess and the Pea Chronicles, based on Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale,
will be part of the lineup as well.

Animated feature films are
on the roster, including The Light Before Christmas and Tutenstein The Movie. The Light Before Christmas focuses on the real meaning of Christmas, while Tutenstein
The Movie
, based on the
PorchLight-produced Emmy Award-winning series, chronicles the further
adventures of the 10-year-old boy mummy who is struck by lightning and brought
back to life in a big city 3,000 years later. Rounding out the slate is Spooky
Bats and Scaredy Cats
, which sees
Katie and Makean embark on a thrilling journey to deliver mysterious Halloween
invitations.

PorchLight’s CEO, Bruce Johnson, commented: “It is heartening and exciting to see the growth of
PorchLight with a slate that reflects the best in family entertainment in both
animation and live action.”

Added Ken DuBow,
PorchLight’s president of worldwide distribution, “I’m very happy with the
growth of PorchLight, as we continue to acquire more diverse projects since I
came on board last spring. It’s exciting to offer producers another place to
showcase their projects.”
