PorchLight Showcases Diverse Portfolio at Licensing Show

LOS ANGELES, May 19:
PorchLight Entertainment will be presenting a broad slate of kids’ properties
at the Licensing International Expo 2008, ranging from the new animated series FARMkids, Animalia and Gofrette to
established brands like Jay Jay the Jet Plane.

Making its debut at the
Licensing Show this year is FARMkids, centered on a quirky collection of pampered, petting-zoo animals who
don't have a clue how to survive in the country when they are unexpectedly
relocated to Dude Ranch. FARMkids has
been licensed to Animania in the U.S., Disney Channel in Latin America, ABC
Australia and ITV in the U.K., among other networks worldwide. The season one
DVDs were released in March by PorchLight Home Entertainment.

William Baumann,
PorchLight's president and COO, said: "We're thrilled to debut FARMkids at the Licensing Show. It's a fabulously funny
kids’ series with wonderful characters, clever story lines and state-of-the-art
CGI animation. This series will definitely connect with kids and has incredible
licensing potential."

Other new kids’ fare
highlighted at the Licensing Show include the 40×30-minute CGI-animated series Animalia, which is currently airing on PBS and Animania in
the U.S., CBC in Canada, CBBC in the U.K., Network Ten and Nickelodeon in
Australia, France 5, RTP in Portugal and Canal 4 in Spain. Penguin is the
worldwide publishing licensee and PorchLight Home Entertainment is the North
American DVD distributor. Additional offerings include the 52×12-minute Gofrette, which is broadcast on CBC and Société
Radio-Canada in Canada, and is jointly produced by Zoe Mae Productions and
Subsequence Entertainment. Excluding Canada, PorchLight holds worldwide
distribution and licensing and merchandising rights to the series.

Girl Authority, a
tween-skewing singing group made up of nine girls between the ages of 10 to 15,
will be showcased as well. This past year, Girl Authority toured nationally and
recently appeared on The Saturday Early Show on CBS. The group’s
self-titled debut album, released
in April 2006 on Rounder Zoë Records, reached number five on Billboard’s top
heatseekers chart and number nine on Billboard’s top kid audio chart. Road
Trip
, the group’s second album,
released in March 2007, was awarded the iParenting media award.

The faith-based property Adventures
From the Book of Virtues: Adventures in Faith
, which was recently released on DVD under PorchLight’s new PorchLight
Inspire label, will be offered at the Licensing Show as well. Rounding out the
company’s highlights is the preschool series Jay Jay the Jet Plane, which is currently airing on PBS and daily on the
PBS KIDS Sprout network. Each Jay Jay episode includes lessons for kids about cooperation, teamwork,
responsibility, science and nature. Jay Jay-branded DVDs, apparel, toys, games, early reading
and activity books, among other product, are available at retail worldwide.
