Peach Blossom, Evergreen Announce Tie-Up

LONDON/SINGAPORE,
November 12: The Singaporean production house Peach Blossom Media and the
British distributor Evergreen Entertainment have inked a deal for the development,
production and exploitation of new animated content for the global market.

Peach Blossom
will tap into Evergreen's knowledge of the international market's needs, while
Evergreen will have access to a regular supply of new content.

Lingun Sung, the CEO of Peach Blossom Media, stated: "The gestation
period of an animation series is so long and the media landscape changes so
fast, that sometimes even great shows don't do well because by the time the
shows are delivered, the market has changed. By soliciting and integrating
Evergreen's input from the very start right through production, we will be able
to create shows that are highly creative, but also have strong legs
worldwide."

Steve Walsh, the managing director of Evergreen, added: "We have
worked with Peach Blossom on selling the Tao
Shu
series, and were instrumental in bringing Peach Blossom in as a
co-production partner on Kika & Bob,
another show we'll be selling at ATF, but from now on we'll be in constant
contact every step of the way from development to distribution."

In related news, Evergreen has hired Emma Neubronner to run all aspects
of sales and marketing in Southeast Asia, based in Singapore. A combined
Evergreen and Peach Blossom presence at ATF next month will showcase the
39×7-minute Shapes, conceived and
produced by Peach Blossom with support from the MDA, plus Kika & Bob, an animated comedy series co-produced by Peach
Blossom with the Dutch company Submarine BV, Billy the Cat, Olive and the
Rhyme-rescue Crew
and Tao Shu the
Warrior Boy
.
