Peace Arch Settles Viacom Suit

TORONTO, January 23: Peace Arch Entertainment Group has
settled its October 2001 lawsuit against VH1, MTV and Viacom over the financing
of the series Big Sound.

Big Sound, a
22-episode half-hour comedy series, aired on Global for one season. It followed
the exploits of a music manager. Peace Arch, in its original 2001 suit, alleged
that Viacom had not honored a contract to co-finance the show. The settlement
agreement provides for the dismissal of all claims and incorporates a new
agreement with Viacom for the distribution of the show in the U.S. Financial
terms were not disclosed.
