Peace Arch Picks Up Devil’s Mercy

TORONTO, November 14:
Peace Arch Entertainment has acquired all the worldwide distribution rights to
the thriller Devil’s Mercy.

Currently in
post-production, the film stars Stephen Rea (V For Vendetta, The Crying Game) and Deborah Valente (Resident Evil: Apocalypse), and centers on a couple and their six-year-old
son who move into an old Connecticut house. The boy soon becomes distraught
with thoughts of monsters dwelling in the attic, and when their friends and
guests abruptly go missing or die mysteriously, it becomes a race against time
as the family's lives are in peril.

Devil’s Mercy is directed by Melanie Orr, written by James
McLean, produced by Robert Wilson and executive produced by Lewin Webb, Kate
Harrison, Jacqueline Kelly, Barbara Sacks and Emlyn J. David.

"Peace Arch continues
to emerge as one of the most active and fastest-growing distributors of
independent features films in the world," said John Flock, the president
and COO of Peace Arch Entertainment. "Devil's Mercy is yet another example of the high quality,
story-driven film acquisitions that we have been making over the past year and
expect to continue making in the weeks and months ahead."
