Peace Arch Acquires 32 Films from First Look

TORONTO, December 5: As part of a long-term output deal
signed in February, Peace Arch Entertainment has picked up the Canadian
distribution rights to 32 films from Los Angeles-based independent producer
First Look Studios.

Peace Arch has announced plans to release five of the films
theatrically in Canada, followed by DVD, VOD and television distribution. The
remaining 27 titles will air on broadcast television throughout the country.
The output deal signed in February grants Peace Arch exclusive DVD rights in
Canada to all of First Look’s titles.

The five films that Peace Arch is set to release
theatrically are: An America Crime,
starring Catherine Keener, Ellen Page and James Franco; Smiley Face, starring Anna Faris, Adam Brody and John Krasinski;
Day of the Dead, starring Mena
Suvari, Ving Rhames and Nick Cannon; Finding Rin Tin Tin, starring Ben Cross and William Hope; and The
Amateurs
, starring Jeff Bridges, Ted
Danson, Lauren Graham, Patrick Fugit and William Fichtner.

Highlights from the 27 titles slated for television
broadcast include Animal, starring Ving
Rhames and Terrence Howard; Stateside, starring Val Kilmer and Rachel Leigh Cook; Relative
Strangers
, starring Danny Devito, Kathy
Bates and Ron Livingston; Journey to the End of the Night, starring Brendan Fraser and Mos Def; and Half
Light
, starring Demi Moore and Henry Ian
Cusick.
