President, Worldwide Sales, Moving Pictures Film & Television

What are some of your top properties for MIPTV?
Dolan’s Cadillac, based on terrifying short story by Stephen King and starring Christian Slater
New Bikini Destinations television series (50 x 30′)
The Coat web series (12 x 6′)
Wake theatrical release
The Graves theatrical release

Why will these programs appeal to buyers?
Films like Dolan’s Cadillac, which sold 250,000 units in a Blockbuster U.S. premiere release in February 2010 and ranked in top 10 of all Hollywood movie rentals/sales; Wake (Ian Somerhalder, Jane Seymour, Bijou Phillips), which will be a major video release later this year by E1 Entertainment in U.S.; and The Graves, released theatrically in U.S. by Lionsgate/Horror Film Fest earlier this year, all significantly raise our company’s profile in the international film arena. New Bikini Destinations (season four) will bring to 50 the number of episodes in this series that is without question the most popular of its type in the world, now appearing on TV channels in 140 countries. The Coat is the first venture by Moving Pictures into the bold, new world of digital media; it’s been the rave of critics in France, where it is being produced by three young filmmakers who we discovered at MIPCOM last year.

What are your goals and expectations for MIPTV?
To markedly increase our pace climbing the ladder of quality and quantity, bringing to our clients films that emphasize strong stories, unforgettable characters, and a commercial hook (top tier internationally-recognized talent, director, production team). All preferably supported by a strong U.S. theatrical or video release. Also, to broaden and deepen our range of buyers, reaching those hitherto-unsolicited major TV networks and DVD distributors. With highly-commercial films like Dolan’s Cadillac we hope to break into the all-rights licensing business in many territories.
