Passion Takes On New Crime & Investigation Series

LONDON, November 6: Killer Couples, a 4×1-hour series from
British indie True North Productions that looks at the relationship between
deadly partners in crime, has joined Passion Distribution's catalogue.

In each episode,
international best-selling crime novelist Mark Billingham looks at a different
pair to find out why and how they committed terrible acts of crime. The series
was produced and directed by Luke McLaughlin.

Sally Miles, the CEO of Passion Distribution, said: "I am delighted to be
working with True North again. We really value their production values and
sympathetic storytelling to attention grabbing subjects that draw an audience.
This is a compelling series that starts with each couple with such innocence
from the first buds of love to a school-boy friendship and takes us on a
journey to the crimes that together they were compelled to commit. There is so
much new and enlightening information that Mark has uncovered to draw the
viewer in to each story."

True North's executive
producer, Glyn Middleton, added: "We felt this was the right series of
programs to bring to Passion and benefit from the sales team's expertise in
popular programming. We were extremely fortunate to secure the services of Mark
Billingham, whose crime novels (like Buried,
Scaredy Cat and Lifeless) have been a huge success in the U.S., Canada, Australia,
Scandinavia and all over Europe. His expertise in analyzing the criminal mind
has brought a new and fresh perspective to a fascinating subject."
