LONDON: Food Network’s Private Chefs of Beverly Hills has been sold into multiple territories by Passion Distribution, with pickups coming from XYZ in Australia and Living Channel in New Zealand, among others.

XYZ took on seasons one and two, while Living Channel opted for the show’s second season. Also picking up the show are TV5 in Finland (season two), Fox Latin America (seasons one and two) and AETN for pan-Asia (season two). The series watches a group of talented private chefs who are on call 24/7 to serve over-the-top clientele living in LA’s most exclusive neighborhood.

Passion has also found success in selling Cupcake Wars. The second season of the show also secured slots with XYZ and Living Channel. Further pickups include LiTV in Asia, CJ Media in Korea and an advertiser-funded terrestrial slot is in negotiation for the U.K. The show features for cupcake bakers as they face off to create the best creations for events such as celebrity weddings and Hollywood parties. One baker will win a $10,000 prize.

Emma Simpkins, the director of sales at Passion Distribution, said, “The appetite at MIPTV for super-sweet prime-time food-entertainment content was strong. With so many successful Scripps International series returning for a new season, Passion’s sales team have been able to work with broadcasters all over the globe to build these brands into successful returning series for their own schedules.”
