Passion Brings Spiderlight Project to MIPCOM

LONDON, October 12: Spiderlight Films, the venture
established by Martin Kemp and Rosie Kingham, is debuting its first project,
the six-part Ice Patrol for Five, at
MIPCOM this week, via Passion Distribution.

The hour-long episodes take viewers on journey to the
Antarctic on the patrol ship HMS Endurance. “Ice Patrol is one of those jewels
and a gift for Passion to launch with at our first MIPCOM,” said Sally Miles,
the CEO of Passion Distribution. “Shot in HD the landscape is breathtaking, as
are the stories and lives of those onboard HMS Endurance. The groundbreaking
experiments and research that the scientists will undertake with the backdrop
of life onboard HMS Endurance will be captivating. The ship is also the only
patrol ship in the Antarctic and the unknown emergency is always around every
corner which gives this show the jeopardy and edge as we venture into the
extreme unknown.”

Passion, which launched earlier this year, is in Cannes with
150 hours of new content, including the ten-part Heliloggers, as well as the specials Leave Her to Die and Two Sisters One Heart. The venture is also offering several formats, among
them Fashion Strip and
Smartest Guy in Town
