Passion Adds Buck Titles to Library

LONDON, September 19:
Passion Distribution will head to MIPCOM with two new programs from
Toronto-based indie Buck Productions in its catalogue: Petal Pushers and Leave Her to Die.

The 13×30-minute Petal
Pushers
looks at the inner
workings of a premier florist with a team of eclectic designers facing complex
requests from clients. The series also includes take-home elements for the
audience, revealing secrets of the trade.

Leave Her to Die is about a woman who founded a home in Thailand for
children with aids who were abandoned by their parents: AGAPE. The hour-long
film is co-produced by Buck Productions and Think Positive, and the proceeds
from its international sales will be donated to AGAPE. Passion is also donating
a portion of its fees to show its support to the orphanage.

Sally
Miles, the CEO of Passion, said, “I have wanted to work with Sean Buckley
and Buck Productions for some time now and I am delighted that we are now
working together on two such amazing and diverse projects. I cried when I
watched Leave Her to Die. We
really want everyone to see this film and the amazing commitment and passion
that goes into the orphanage. Every child has a story to tell. Petal Pushers
is a really great lifestyle
series—larger than life characters with huge talent!”

Sean Buckley, the founder
of Buck Productions and executive producer, added,
"All of us at Buck Productions are very proud to be associated with
Leave Her to Die. We have been
provided the opportunity to shed light on AGAPE and the extraordinary women and
children that have been helped. I believe everyone involved was moved by the
stories. In Canada, we are very fortunate, so it seems only natural to find
ways to give back to those who deserve it. We only hope the valuable lessons in
this film will inspire people to do so. Petal Pushers, although
vastly different, is an exciting and creative series that provides a more
personal feeling to reality television. We’re excited to be a part of this groundbreaking series.”
