Paramount Takes Broadband Route for Jackass 2.5

HOLLYWOOD, December 13: Paramount Pictures has unveiled plans to
make its new offering Jackass 2.5 the first-ever studio-backed feature to be
streamed in its entirety online for free, ahead of its DVD release.

The film will be made available for free courtesy of Blockbuster at
blockbuster.jackassworld.com beginning December 19, through December 31. The
DVD hits shelves December 26 and will be available for rent exclusively from
Blockbuster. Also on December 26, the film will be available for download on
movielink.com, iTunes, Amazon.com and other services. Beginning January 1,
2008, the movie will also be available for download-to-rent exclusively at
movielink.com.

The third in the popular MTV Networks
franchise features never-before-seen footage and interviews, with long-standing
cast members Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Chris Pontius, Dave England,
Steve-O, Ehren McGhehey, Jason "Wee Man" Acuna, Preston Lacy and Ryan
Dunn.

Thomas Lesinski, the president of
Paramount Pictures Digital Entertainment, noted: "The Jackass movie is the first of several features that we plan on distributing
online and as the digital world evolves, Paramount will continue to turn
digital distribution of content on its head."
