NEW YORK: The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has re-elected Bruce Paisner as president and CEO for a fourth term.

Paisner, who has been at the helm of the International Academy since January 2004, will serve another two-year term. His new term starts January 1, 2010. Paisner is a long-term executive at Hearst Corporation. He now serves as advisor to the CEO of Hearst and supervises Hearst’s Cosmopolitan-TV networks in Spain, Latin America and Canada.

After he was re-elected, Paisner re-appointed Fred Cohen as chairman of the organization.

“I am mindful of the fact that it is a great honor to be asked by my industry colleagues to serve a fourth term as president and CEO of The International Academy,” said Paisner. This is a great organization and it continues to grow in stature and visibility around the world. We are very proud of our Emmy competition and of the activities we organize for our members who hail from over 50 countries.”
