SANTA MONICA: Ovation has slated a two-week tribute to Broadway, called Music of the Night, to coincide with the Tony Awards ceremony in June.

Music of the Night kicks off on June 6 at 7 p.m. with a nod to Andrew Lloyd Webber and the basic-cable premiere of Cats. The programming event will feature other Webber favorites, including the classic film version of Jesus Christ Superstar on June 8 at 7 p.m. and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on June 9 at 7 p.m.

Ovation is also hosting a Twitter contest, which launches June 6, with people tweeting the plots of Broadway shows, in 140 characters or less. On June 18, Ovation will select the most entertaining tweets summarizing Broadway musicals and will award prizes to selected participants.

Also slated to air during the Music of the Night event are South Pacific (June 12), The Music Man (June 13), Once Upon A Mattress (June 15) and Noises Off (June 16).
