Outright Scores French Format Sale

LONDON: The format Cowboy Builders is headed for a six-episode run in prime time on TF1 in France, through a deal signed by Outright Distribution.

The Ricochet format will begin airing on TF1 in September. The channel also picked up the first two seasons of the U.K. version for its TMC channel. The British series was originally produced for Five. In the original U.K. show, Dominic Littlewood and Melinda Messenger hunt down bogus builders who scam people out of money. The builders are then confronted about their shoddy workmanship.

Tess Charman, the sales manager for France at Outright, commented: "This is the first format we have licensed to TF1 and are extremely excited about working with them directly on this fantastic show. We anticipate it to be a great success for the channel, reflecting its ratings success for Five in the U.K."
