ORF Wraps Up MIPCOM Deals

VIENNA: A number of titles from ORF’s kids’ catalogue are headed to broadcasters in Latin America and Southeast Asia through deals signed at MIPCOM.

The kids’ shows Explorer Express, Trick Fabric and 7 Wonders are to air in Brazil, Thailand, Indonesia and a host of other Latin American countries next year. Explorer Express has found success on ARTE, which picked up the remaining 94 episodes at MIPCOM.

In Brazil, more than 100 hours have been sold to various broadcasters, covering genres such as children’s, documentaries and classical music concerts. More than 20 international TV, VOD and inflight agreements were secured for Universum docs, including Silverado, The Great Rift, Voynich Manuscript, Year of the Hedgehog and presales for Radioactive Wolves.

In Denmark, Fast Forward airs on Danish pubcaster DR. The cooking show Silent Cooking, Summits of Pleasure and Musically Culinary were picked up in Russia, Switzerland and other parts of Eastern Europe.
