ORF Takes on The School for Vampires

BERLIN/GRÜENWALD, February
14: Austria’s ORF has picked up the free-TV rights for the first two seasons of
The School for Vampires from
brand management and media company m4e.

The 52×11-minute episodes,
which tell the story of three vampire children attending vampire school, will
begin airing on ORF on February 24. The School of Vampires is an international co-production, under the
direction of Hahn Film, and is based on the German children’s book by Jack
Niebisch. A feature film is in the planning stages and is scheduled for
theatrical release in 2009. The series currently airs in Germany on KI.KA.
