Orange, CanalSat to Broadcast Cannes Festival

PARIS: The French platforms CanalSat and Orange will broadcast coverage of this year’s Cannes Film Festival, which runs from May 13 to 24, on their dedicated TV Festival channel.

Edited by Canal+ and co-produced by Canal+, Orange and the Festival de Cannes, TV Festival will broadcast throughout the event. The executive producer of the channel is KM Productions. It will feature coverage of the red carpet, screenings, press conferences and more.

Orange has been a partner of the festival for the last nine years, but this is the first year it will be providing coverage of the event on TV, online and via cell phones. In addition to broadcasting the TV Festival channel, Orange will feature highlights of the event on orange.fr and its on mobile portal Orange World. The 24/7 service Orange TV will offer a special VOD catalogue that includes a selection of films by directors who came to prominence at the Festival, as well as films presented at Cannes last year. There will also be special programming on Orange’s movie channels.
