HONG KONG: now TV is launching a K-pop Korean music channel on its Hong Kong service, from KMTV Asia.

KMTV will offer round-the-clock music videos and live performances from Korean stars and groups. The 24-hour channel will broadcast in Korean with traditional Chinese subtitles.

Byun Kwang Min, the CEO of KMTV Asia, said, "K-pop stars have massive loyal followers everywhere in Asia, where fans at present can only watch their idols through the Internet or limited DVD products in the market. We look forward to providing a 24-hour K-pop channel for the fans in Asia, particularly Hong Kong."

Janice Lee, PCCW’s managing director of TV and new media, added: "Korean artists and music have become increasingly popular in Hong Kong in recent years. KMTV will fulfill the need of many devoted fans especially the younger generation who wish to follow their idols’ activities closely."
