Nisker’s Feature Doc Heads to Super Channel

TORONTO, February 11: The
Canadian pay-TV network Super Channel has picked up the independent
feature-length environmental documentary Garbage! The Revolution Starts at
Home,
from filmmaker Andrew
Nisker.

Garbage! The Revolution
Starts at Home
is set to air on Sunday,
March 3 at 8 p.m. on Super Channel’s SC4. The documentary follows the Mcdonald family
of Toronto as they track their waste output for three months, right down to the
children's lunchboxes. As they discover where their garbage goes and at what
cost to the environment, the Mcdonald household engages the audience with an “open-door
reality-check.”

The documentary also has a
companion website, www.garbagerevolution.com, where viewers are asked to share
videos, pictures and blogs with their own advice, ideas, solutions and
initiatives to make eco-friendly living a reality in every home.

“Super Channel is pleased
to support independent Canadian feature film producers in all provinces,” said
Justin Rebelo, the director of Canadian programming at Super Channel Canada. “In
this case, documentary filmmaker Andrew Nisker and his enviro-doc Garbage!
The Revolution Starts At Home
. We
look forward to continuing our support across the country.”
