Nini Headed to Disney EMEA

LONDON: The series Nini, produced by Endemol Argentina and Kaberplay Productions for Telefe, has been acquired by Disney Channel in a multi-territory deal that covers a range of markets in Europe and the Middle East.

The Walt Disney Company EMEA has acquired the 140-episode series from Endemol Worldwide Distribution, The series will air on Disney Channel across Spain, Italy, Israel and Central and Eastern Europe. The family comedy stars Florencia Bertotti, known for the hit telenovela Floricienta.

Nini is a great addition to our programming schedule and complements our leading EMEA shows," said Giorgio Stock, the executive VP and managing director of Disney Channels EMEA and Disney Interactive Media Group EMEA. "Disney Channel remains committed to delivering engaging content across diverse genres, working with some of the most creative production companies in the world.”

Cathy Payne, the chief executive of Endemol Worldwide Distribution, added, "We are very excited to have secured this deal for Nini with the Disney Channel. Nini is a very strong property and I am sure that audiences will fall in love with these characters”.

The series scored a 49.9-percent market share during its Argentinean debut, averaging a 35-percent share across its run.
