Nickelodeon Brazil To Launch New Magazine-Style Show

MIAMI, May 25: Next month,
Nickelodeon
Brazil is set to launch Nickers, a new magazine-style program aimed at children aged
7 to 15.

Nickers will premiere on
Nickelodeon Brazil on Monday, June 4, and will air Monday through Friday from
6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Taped and produced in Brazil, the show features three young
hosts named Bianca, Dinho and HD, and consists of segments that include live
music, humor, music videos, interactivity, games, and a live audience. Viewers
will be asked to participate in the show by contributing to segments such as
Playlist 10, showcasing the most requested videos from the Mundo Nick website;
Nickershow, where viewers can show off their amateur talents; and Enigma, where
the audience solves a mystery. Animations air between each segment and news
stories are also presented throughout the program.

“We
are very excited and confident to launch Nickers in Brazil,” said
Tatiana Rodriguez, the VP of programming and creative strategy for Nickelodeon
Latin America. “The idea of producing this innovative format came from research
showing that our viewers are thirsty for a high-energy show with a lot of
interactivity. Nickers will allow children and teens to continue being a
part of Nick by participating in shows, asking their favorite stars for answers
to their questions, and showing their faces on TV. We are certain that Nickers will fill a void in
children’s television on pay TV in Brazil.”
