Nick Jr. Preschool Show Set for International Launch at MIPTV

LONDON: MTV Networks International (MTVNI) is set to launch the preschool series Bubble Guppies for the international market at MIPTV, with a number of syndication deals already in place.

The interactive CGI variety show is set in a 3D underwater classroom, exploring the everyday life of preschoolers. Last month the series became Nick U.S.’s biggest preschool launch in three years, achieving almost 2 million viewers with its debut episode. The show has already been picked up by France Television, Mediacorp’s kids’ channel OKTO in Singapore and by Malaysian agency Juita Viden on behalf of NTV7.

Other preschool signings include Telequebec in Canada, which picked up new episodes of Dora the Explorer, Go! Diego, Go! and Ni Hao Kai-Lan. In Hong Kong, ATV SB signed Wonder Pets! for its English-language channel as part of a package deal, and in Mexico, Canal 11  signed Jack’s Big Music Show, episodes 101 to 111, 113, and 201 to 213.

In France, TF1 went for Go! Diego, Go! episodes 409 to 416, Dora’s Big Birthday Adventure Special and Dora’s Christmas Adventure, and Ni Hao Kai-Lan episodes 419 and 420, in addition to the Ni Hao Kai-Lan special, Journey to Monkey King. The TF1 deal also covers SpongeBob SquarePants: Clash of the Triton and episodes 135 to 139 and 143 to 152, plus Penguins of Madagascar episodes 117 and 120 to 126.
