LONDON: MTV Networks International has rolled out localized Nickelodeon services on UPC Broadband in the Czech Republic and Romania.

This is the first localized Nick service in the Czech Republic. The Romanian-language version of the channel first rolled out in February. In addition to Nick properties being dubbed in the local language, the services are accompanied by localized websites: www.nickelodeon.cz and www.nickelodeontv.ro.

“Since the brand’s inception in 1980, Nickelodeon has been an integral part of kids and families lives around the world and has firmly established itself as the go to destination both on and off air,” said Gábor Horváth Dori, general manager and VP of MTV Networks Hungary and emerging markets at MTVNI. “Nickelodeon continues to be a key growth driver for the emerging markets in 2010. We are thrilled to be expanding the brand’s reach and making it available to new audiences throughout Eastern Europe.”
